MSD Ignition questions.
Hey Bud,
Sorry you took offense to my "light hearted" but truthful comment. It was meant to help rather than inflame. It is a know fact that current sensing factory installed tachs don't, by themselves, play nice with these muti-strike boxes. It wasn't until a few years later ('73-'74), when the voltage sensing factory tachs were introduced, that you didn't need a tach adapter.
However, If you are planning on installing an after market tach, then, you should be good to go, as they say.
BTW, I never claimed to "be an apparent mustang guru", but appreciate the thought.
Happy trails.....

Just to make your future social encounters less rash, it doesn't matter what you're trying to be or what you do or don't claim to be, it's about how you come across. But I don't blame you, you can only know how you come across from other people, but it is only you who can change it.
Happy trails.
Ok Back to the MSD 6al box...... It has a tach out put and makes hooking up an aftermarket tach so much easier. It also eliminated interference that I was getting from my coil when my tach was hooked up that way.
Appreciate the info! Pretty big relief to know that. Now I just need to find a good spot to mount it!
