Can anyone give me a fairly accurate number on how much a complete small-block Ford and automatic transmission weighs together? With all fluids?

If I were to hazard an uneducated guess, I'd say between 500 and 700 pounds?

 

Ummm, what size of SBF? What kind of heads.. and what kind of auto?

 

Stock 289, 2bbl, C4.

 

Yeah, you're about in the right range.. I'd say around 600 pounds stock..

I took a pic of my C4 and AOD on a scale but of course can't find it. From what I can find the C4 w/o torque conv. should be ~110lbs. add ~38lbs. for TC.
