351C in a '65 Coupe
Hey guys, I am just starting a restomod, with my 12 yo son, on a '65 Coupe. I am wanting to put a 351C stroked to 408 in it but I have a couple concerns.
*My biggest concern is what do I need to do to make it fit?**
I'm sure I will need to relocate motor mounts and I have heard shock towers, but I plan on using a Shelby style hood with a 1" scoop. Am I going to have any clearance issues with this if I run a Victor Jr or some other higher profile intake? Any other issues I need to think about?

I found this blurb on another forum:
Hello.
The Cleveland will fit, sort of.You will encounter two problems. When you close the hood it will hit the breather assembly if you use the one of the stock breathers, and it will look like the exhaust manifold on the driver's side is barely clearing, but the first time that you hit a little bump in the road, the steering gear box will crack the exhaust manifold. If you are aware of these things it isn't really a big deal to work out a way around them, but you need to be aware of them.Hope that helps.

Or you could just talk to someone who has done this trick.
1. Swap headers from www.fordpowertrain.com (might need to bump the tubes a little, but they fit)
2. Early 65 3 piece motor mounts (also used in 64 falcons)
3. use a torque strap
4. Weiand xcellerator 4v intake with drop base air cleaner go right under stock hood

5. Strip Dommy 4v intake, 1 inch spacer, standard air cleaner and thick filament go under 67 shelby style
