Default Restoration costs

Hi guys,
I wanna ask you, how much do you think I will spend on the restoration of the interior of ford mustang 1967. The dashboard, tapestry, paneling and the door panels must be replaced.

Thanks
John

A lot depends on the quality of the parts you want. The easiest way to figure it is to get on-line and have NPD or someone send you a catalog. Go through and make a list of what you want/need and add up the prices. I found if they offer a "budget" priced item and a more expensive alternative, the more expensive one was the way to go. Generally speaking they fit and look better, and are easier to install.
By going through the catalog, you will probably see there are several things that you need that you didn't even think of.

Make a list of everything you need and look at a few part houses prices see who's cheaper.

It can be done for fairly cheap if you know where to look. Alot of guys will buy whole other cars that are complete garbage on the outside or have no drivetrains just to get the interior. But, there are also alot of companies that make the same stuff aftermarket. cjponyparts.com will probably have most of what you need.

We redid the interior of my 66 a couple years ago. We got the best deal by buying a complete interior package from Dallas Mustangs. We changed from a standard inteior to a pony interior and everything worked great. It was kind of a chunk of money to pay out at once, but it was cheaper in the long run than buying everything separately and we had everything we needed.
