24" brass 4 core, 7 blade FoMoCo flex fan w/ a spacer that puts it 2" back from the radiator which is just enough room to still be able to remove the fan if you need to. I don't run a shroud. It never gets above 190-195.

WOW.

isnt that too low of a temp for an engine to operate at peak? I thought you needed 185 - 190*

thats for emmisions.Considering all the underhood heat with the turbo, i dont want or need it to run any warmer. I can cycle the fan and let it build up heat, but getting the temp back down becomes a issue.

I run a nice set up made by Be Cool from Summit. Picture below. I'm with Iskwezm on keeping it cool. I have a 150 degree thermostat, and my fans kick on at 180 and shut off at 150. Living in Hawaii, my car never gets above 185. The fans only kick on if I'm at a red light for like 1 or 2 minutes, other than that the airflow into the big-*** radiator is enough to keep it cool. I run a 302 with the Performer RPM package but I have a 428 in the machince shop that will be going in early next year. Thats why the big-*** radiator...Do a Summit Racing search for 1967, Ford, Mustang....well, yours might be a different year, but there is the one for 67 and 68.
