Id say around 16mpg at the most. These bad boys arent made for gas mileage

i have a 289 2 barrel with a 2.79:1 rear axle, auto tranny,
i average 14-15 in my daily commute (mostly stop and go)...
although i know i could do better if i alter my driving habits [sm=gears.gif]
i got 19 mpg cruisin at 75 for about 1.5 hours a couple weeks ago

also...i think my recently installed exhaust picked up some extra mpg for me [sm=happy046.gif]
either that or i drive at lower rpm's cause it sounds badass down low [sm=drooldude.gif]

I don't understand - worried about mileage in a classic....I have had my car for 10 years. It is a 351C bored 30 thousandths, stroked to 11:1 compression. I have no clue.

I don't think anybody on this classic section has a 260. It was a 2 barrel engine though. It would be anybody's guess what the mpg was.

strrrrange, i got 7.2 mpg on my 302, but then again, she goes allright too (if she's not overheating, that is...)
