RE: Original Air cleaner Element
Glen I was actually talking about using the original air cleaner with a K&N element. Not an actual cold air system....hmmm

Skuse me. But wouldnt it be neat if you could somehow hook it up to cold air induction like the EFI guys? I guess after I retire, I need to make a million bucks with a design that will allow carb engines to utilize the cold air induction system. Or, has that already been invented?

I would use some southern engineering right now, but i have no carb or air cleaner just a manifold. It would be easy just like a big plastic tube from the orginal element to the battery like nualln says.

No, colder air (I.E. not hot engine compartment air) is better for combustion. I have yet to see someone make a true cold air system for a classic mustang. There is so much money to be made there, and you wouldnt have to cut any holes or anything (just use the vent in front of the battery, and relocate the battery).
