Ever wonder about the origin of the song "Mustang Sally?"

Anyone ever hear the original version?

I've only heard Wilson Picket's version.

I know CCR has done it, Eric Clapton, and others. I can look them up tomorrow.

You need to read up on your music history, son! Creedence never touched Mustang Sally. Take it from an old fart that still has all their vinyl. And as far as I know, Clapton never covered it either (certainly not on any studio releases). You may be thinking of the "Committments" version... That's about the newest recording of it that I know of. Wilson Picket's is the one most of us are familiar with.

May I ask how old you are?

I never liked the Commitment's version. It was meant to be a blues song, and they just ain't blues singers.

Maybe we are not talking about the same Mustang SAlly. But i know for a fact Eric CLapton, and CCR has done it.
