1966 mustang, motor smokes when warm
hi
looking for some assistance. Ive got a 66 mustang, with the original 289, and dual exhaust. Its had some work done to it, but ive never had a problem with it and has maybe 20,000 miles since the rebuild 15 years ago. At the end of the summer last year after a full season of driving it, the motor smoked blue out of the passenger side, but only after driving it around for half an hour. I just got the car out for its first run this season and it is doing the exact same thing, around a half hour of driving and it starts to blow blue out of the passenger side again.
any thoughts would be appreciated. I havent taken a valve cover off or anything, i just wanted some ideas before i start taking this thing apart
thanks

also pull the spark plugs on the right side and see if any of them are gummed up. that will tell you what cylinder it is coming from.
could be vavle seals! I just found a smoking issue that has been killing me for two years. It ended up that i had installed valve covers that had no baffle below the filler cap and the pcv. new valve covers and the issue is GONE!

sorry for the late post, but finally got to the car. Thanks rmodel65, you nailed it. Pulled the valve cover and there was no shrapnel in there but I blew some air down the oil drains. Ive had the car out and drove it hard for the weekend and no more smoke. Thanks everyone else for the help, i was hoping for the easy one first, but if it comes back ill try the other fixes,
