flapping sound

Default flapping sound

I was driving my car and it looked like my car was gonna overheat then somehing popped and my car started making a like flapping sound im driving a 66 by the way if anyone can help me please

not likely....

but I'll give it a shot...Did you check the upper and lower radiator hoses?

Check water levels....

Any further info?

Look for anything obvious and try again. If she starts signing Daisy Girl you are on your own.

Water pump could have broken, and the fan could be hitting something? maybe the radiator?

Flapping sound? Drawing a blank on that one except for the time I got a rag tangled up in the radiator fan. That made kinduva flapping sound.

Did your car overheat or was it "cured" by whatever the mystery flapping sound is?
