Driver side apply more pressure when breaking
Hello!
My fastback 1971 is pulling to the left when breaking. It has drum brakes front and rear (originally sold with 6 cylinders).
The problem occurred after I did the following to the front: replaced springs, cylinders, brake hoses and had the drums made so the surface is smooth. The brake pads looked fine and there is a slight resistance. Before changing the car was pulling to the right.
The brake value: front left 2.7, front right 2.2 and rear left 2.0 och rear right 2.2.
I have self adjusting and I can still hear some cklicking on the left side. What can I do to fix the problem? If I adjust the self adjusting it will go back again? Any ideas? Changing to disc is not an alternative.

This is why so many people change their front brakes to disc. Not that discs are better, just easier to have even braking. Drum brakes just take some patience. You say the shoes looked okay so I am assuming you left them. Were they dirty or contaminated? If not and you hosed everything down with brake cleaner I would start to make some adjustments to the "self adjusters". I always adjusted so there was a bit more than slight resistance. After all once the brakes settle in they will be loose. If you adjust too far you can back them off if needed. There also could be some air in one side. You could re-bleed and I know that the bleed screw is in an awkward spot, but that could be some of it too.
There is a klicking sound coming from the front left drum when I brake while the car is moving forward. Is it making the shoes closer to the drum or away from the drum?
Do you all think that my problem with the driver side apply more pressure is a result from that the klicking simply has not finished yet on the left side and I simply have to drive and brake more?
