Default cold oil pressure

what should the oil pressure be when cold and at high idle?

i just put in an auto meter gauge and it is showing me just over 50psi...seems a little high to me

i'm going to school in about an hour so i'll see how much it changes when hot....

anyone who has gauges...what pressure do you run at???

oh yeah, it is about 70* outside and it has Casrol GTX High Mileage 10w-40 in it...Thanks

Default RE: cold oil pressure

my hot oil pressure idling in gear appears to be around 40 psi...cruisin' at 40 mph it seems to be around 60 psi...

i guess this is okay...it just seems high to me because my dad's cummins diesel is our only other vehicle with a gauge and it is only like 15 psi at hot idle and like 45 psi while under load...

thanks
