Default 1970 hard steering

on my 302 coupe i just changed all the power steering hoses and put in fluid to fill it. All the fluid had come out when the hoses broke. now when i turned it on it was hell trying to steer it, it was like thier was no fluid in it at all. now im pretty sure i put the cylinder hoses on right, from the cylinder p.o.v the top hose goes to the right side of the control valve and the bottom goes to the left hole of the control valve and im sure my pump works what should i do?

holy hell i had left it alone for a little while and then i checked the fuild again and it was low so i added some more and turned the car on i berly tryed to turn the wheel and all by itself the steering wheel violently starts to turn all the way to the left and all the way to the right with a strong force and speed i had never seen anything like that before so i reach for the ignition and pull the keys out and i check the resevoir again and i see the fluid looks white and foamy, now im starting to thing i did put those cylinder hoses on wrong but im sure their right

i think i know your problem or at least can help you solve it. on the slave cylinder under the car, there will be a return and a thru hose to the actuall hydralic. if u reverse those, unfortunatly, u could have blown the seal inside causing the cylinder to rupture and having it go so sparatic. if that wasnt it, i would say the lines that feed into the slave got dirt in them and polluted the whole thing making it run extremly too too hot and did more damage.
