I pulled the column out of the car, took off the steering wheel, but I can't get the tapered piece that the turn signal and emergency flashers go in apart from the main column shaft. There is a wiring harness that runs up between them that I want to remove so I can paint it. I found a write up for 65-67 but not for a 68. I can't find any fasteners and it doesn't seem to be screwed on. Thanks guys.
