tranny oil brown...
i guess no-one will be surprised anymore...
after the engine problem i have i decided to already get it out of the car, that way it's in the way al the time which in turn will continously push me to get things going. so, got the tranny out and the oil from the tranny is darkish brown. seeing that she just got rebuilt by a renowned company in holland, 5 running hours ago, i'd say that's weird since they said to leave it in for 700 miles and then change the filter and the oil in it. on the other hand, i suppose that with an engine heating up like that the trans. oil doesn't cool as much as it should, which could cause it to turn color...
any thoughts, comments? pleeeeeeaaaaase don't tell me i need a new tranny, because then that's it, i'm scrapping the lot then...
(or swapping for a 429 with a C6 trans, in combination with winning the lottery or robbing a bank)

I can't remember if you have a C4 or a toploader. Anyway, if you have a C4, the tranny probably got hot when you had the engine heating up beyond specs. Before you put that new engine in, change the fluid and filter in the C4.
