Default How do I unplug tail lights from headlight harness

Howdy,

I have pulled, pryed, even used a blade to cut along the lines in the black connector that plugs the tail light harness onto the headlight harness. I am just about ready to cut the wires and add some new connectors. I figure if it's happy to stay stuck together, then fine!

So, is there something I'm missing? Some sort of release? Or has age just locked it together?

For the love of God don't cut your factory harness.

You're talking about the black rubber connectors I suppose.

Spray the connector with some weasel **** and let it sit for a while. If you still can't pull them apart then take two pair of pliers (for leverage), grab each side of the connection and GENTLY wriggle them. Don't be ham-handed and crush them or snap off the leads.

Weasel **** overnight then gently with pliars on both ends, and voila! Thanks!
