1968 wire gauge list
Im looking for a comprehensive list off each gauge for each wire on a 1968 mustang. I have wire diagrams and the shop manual which do have a lot of the gauges on the schematics in (), but not all. Does anyone know of such a list?

one way or another
looks like no one has such a list so lets all pull together and create one. Ive gone through the diagrams I have and pulled the numbers that are on there. If anyone can identify any of the missing gauges, replay and I can consolidate everything and post a full list. thanks

The 60's wiring was too small anyway, especially for some of the modern devices a lot of people are using.
If you're building your own harness, or figuring loads based on wire size etc, best thing to do is calculate wire size based on load/temperature/voltage etc.

Use 12 or 14V, DC, copper conductor, no conduit at 90*C, single set of conductors. Limit voltage drop to no more than 5% at the farthest object in the circuit.

Yeah i agree with 67, it really about the circuit ampacity requirements. And in followup to my original post (looking at my old harness from my 66)- most of the wiring in these cars was 18 ga.
