Default Paint question

Does anyone have a paint formula for the gold 1965 Valve covers and Air cleaner?

Also, does anyone have a helpful hint on how to paint the interior of the air vent area between the windshield and the hood?

just mask off the vents and spray paint in there with the gun on pinpoint...

also you could remove the fresh air vents and heater box and stick your hand and a spray can up the cowl hat and spray around, remove the front fenders and use paint daubers thru the drain holes etc

I bought the spray can from Mustangs Unlimited. It's Duplicolor Engine Enamel DE 1604 "Universal Gold". They carry it at the parts store for around $6. Seems to be a pretty good match. Close enough for me at least. Here's my air cleaner:

There is an article on paint colors and spray can availability by Jim Smart of Mustangs Monthly magazine. Here's a link.

when i painted inside my cowl the first time, i just lowered the air pressure to reduce the chance of too much material on the vents themselves
