'67 'vert a/c installation questions
I bought a complete Vintage Air system for my '67. It is a 289 with a C4 transmission.
Are there any issues I need to look for when I put this in?
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks,
Wayne

The kit doesn't tell me that I need a 3 groove pulley for the crankshaft which means the trans cooling lines are in the way, or that my radiator overflow bottle will no longer fit, or that I should change my fan to a high volume with a fan clutch.
I'm still working under the hood, haven't gotten to the interior yet.
And after putting the hoses, belts, fan and antifreeze in, I discover my water pump is leaking. So it all has to come out to change the water pump.

Yes, I've already had issues.

I have picked up a fan clutch and 6 blade fan (I hope it fits).
Do you also have power steering? Just seems like maybe you could get by with a 2 groove pulley, that is a bummer.

No power steering yet. I'm going to add a Borgeson unit in the future.
I thought a 2 groove pulley would work also but the A/C uses the 3rd groove and the P/S uses the 2nd groove.
Be sure to get a fan shroud also.

So are you just using the original type plastic fan shroud that came on a 20" radiator? I am thinking the last kit from CAA that I helped a guy with had that with it.
