Flooded & Stumped
Need a hand, don't know what to do next. I was tuning the 1406 Edlebrock carb on my 69 mustang with 351W. It flooded so I left it alone, went back the next day and got it to start, but couldn't again after it was turned off. It will not even turn or crank over. It has a new starter, spark plugs, battery, and fuel pressure is fine. I have never had this issue so am very lost.
First off, charge your battery. If you don't have good voltage, you're jerking off.
If you are still getting no signs of life when you try to crank then is sounds like maybe the neutral safety switch if it's an automatic.
If it is then rip through the gears and slap it back in to park and see what happens.

Uhhh...how bad did it flood? Ive got to ask!
Did you happen to fill a cylinder up with fuel?? The engine rolled over a few degrees the intake valve closed and now you've got 4oz of raw fuel trapped in the combustion chamber and its hydro locked?
Try to use a large ratchet and I think a 15/16 socket on the crank and see if you can turn the engine to the right by hand...it should not take a ton of effort
