Default 1965 Engine "orange"?

I'm looking to repaint the air cleaner and valve cover on my '65 200 6 cylinder engine. I'd appreciate a source for this paint or a paint code to have it mixed. The vendors' catalogs I have checked don't seem to carry this. Thanks

It's not hard to find. If you can't find it locally, you can mail-order it-

Ah. That's a Chevy thing. Even then, 55-56 Chevy V8 engines were red.

Here's a 200-

Thanks. Is there a Dupli-color paint code? And what's the decal on the side of the air cleaner-think I am missing that one.

I doubt you can get the exact color at your local store.

As for the decal, I'm not sure it belongs there, but it looks like this one-

Duplicolor calls it "Ford Red." I have seen it on the shelf at my local Advance Auto Parts Store.

Amazon.com: Dupli-Color DE1605 Ceramic Ford Red Engine Paint - 12 oz.: Automotive Amazon.com: Dupli-Color DE1605 Ceramic Ford Red Engine Paint - 12 oz.: Automotive

Or, you can use what I used (recommended by VA Classic Mustang) to paint the air cleaner and valve color on my 65.

Thanks. Can you give me the VHT code #? I can't see it in the picture form VCM and might be able to find it locally. Shipping spray paint can be a pain.

Sure. It's SP-121, "Universal Bright Red."

No problem with shipping from Virginia Classic. I've purchased many rattle cans from them.
