need help finding my leak ?

Default need help finding my leak ?

have a 68 302 an its got a leak now look like its coming below the headers as far as i can tell i cant see it running from the valve covers i tried taking some pics now but didnt come out really good. so ill leave it for guessing now an ill get good pics in the morning

It could be your valve cover gasket, go over the bolt pattern to check for loose ones. It could also be your head gasket where they connect to your block. Finally it could be some blow by from your front main seal. If you can't locate a leak in the heads of valve covers then most likely it will be oil spinning up and off of your front main to your balancer and it will sling oil over to the passenger side of you motor...to include your alternator and as far back as your starter. The oil leak is not a problem...it's only an issue when the oil gets into your starter and alternator...

Oil leaks are a poor mans rust proofing.

thanks for the info its actually most from the drivers side right by the headers none really on passengers side
