Default hydraulic clutch

So here's the plan, i have a wilwood master cylinder and pull type slave cylinder, and a t5 transmission. the t5 is already installed in the car, but i'm trying to figure out the best way to attach the slave to it. i was hoping if i position it on the bellhousing ear where the cable originally went through, then the tension of the clutch fork would keep it where it needs to be, but i don't see many people do this.

also, does anyone know what the best way to attach the slave to the master would be? i asked a guy at summit for a braided steel line, but the fittings wouldn't bottom out. I'd rather not run a hardline, but it may be my best bet.

Thanks in advance everyone

I used a push cylinder kit that mounts behind the fork, drill a hole in
t he bellhousing and your done. Take the two cylinders to a hydraulic hose shop and have them make you a custom hose. Depending on the fittings it should cost less than $30.

Now that you mention it, i think the o'riellys in my town does hydraulic hoses, but i never thought to go too them before now. Do you know what kit it was that you used?

If you have the money, you might want to consider upgrading to a McLeod etc slip on type unit. Gets rid of the entire fork and associated parts.

I considered going with an internal throwout bearing before, but my buddy is a dirt track racer with that setup on his race car, and he's never been too impressed with it. i'm not tickled with the thought of having to drop the transmission when the time comes that it needs maintenance. don't get me wrong, mechanically, it's a really cool and efficient, but i can't afford it either :/

i hate to pay that much for a bracket, but i haven't found anything about anyone that wasn't satisfied doing it that way. i was kinda hoping to set it up like this guy did, but withe the slave on the other side of the bellhousing ear

The first McLeod slip on tob I used I replaced when they stopped making it and couldn't get a replacement bearing any more. Lasted a long long time.
