Default 289 in a 170

Hi first post.
I was just wondering if a 289 would drop right into a 64 1/2 that had a 170 in it. What i really mean is will i have to change the suspension and drive train and brakes. i would assume that i would not because that engine was offered back then in the car, its not like im putting a later 302 or 351 in it, that was not originally offered and was not build for it.
Thanks alot for the help.

if its an auto just change the motor mounts, bell housing and torque converter.

it will still have wimpy 6 cyl suspension and brakes though which is not good.
