Default 67 spindles ect, on 66 mess up alignment

So back about 4 years ago i took all of the v8 front end steering components out of a 67 mustang and slapped them into my 66 mustang, including the steering box. I know between the 66 and 67 there was some slight differences on widths of the car. So i just realized my car is way out of alignment and my tires are balding really bad on the front, I aligned the front end when i put it together but there sure wasn't much adjustment there, is it the 67 components that are my problem do i need to switch to 66 or 65 front end components? any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes, yes, and yes. 65-66 have a completely different front end than '67, which is also slightly different from '68 in some aspects. Nothing you pull off a '67, aside from the steering box, is useable in a '66. Spindles, tie rods, anything that got transferred needs to go.

Does that go with the spindles and drums as well or can i just hook up new tie rod ends to them??

If you're changing spindles, go to the larger 69/70 spindles etc.

But yeah, most of the 67 suspension stuff is 67 specific, kinda annoying.
