Hello, I searched for info on changing the heater core in a 69 Mustang but couldn't find any threads. Anyone know where it might br in this forum?

Or if you have changed a heater core how did it go, I understand the whole dash must be removed.
This 69 doesn't have air conditioning if that makes a difference.

You won't get many replies in this forum for your question. I'd start a new thread down in the Classic Mustang Tech section. They'll get you started, good luck in the repair.

Moving to tech..

 

It's no big deal. You don't need to remove the dash, just the glove box. You 'll be down on the floor alot, it gets a little tight under there. Drain the radiator, check the condition of the rubber heater hoses also . It's pretty straight forward, buy the heater box rebuild kit also, it's just a package of rubber and foam but it helps seal up the box pretty good.

Pay attention to the hose routing too, the heater core acts as a secondary radiator.

 

also make sure to not put tap water in your cooling system. buy a gallon of unmixed coolant and a gallon of distilled water(its cheaper than pay for the premixed 50/50 )

 

IIRC, I had to loosen the right side of the dash for better access.
