Default 65 i6 Kickdown Cable

Recently purchased a 65 mustang with an inline 6 engine and an automatic transmission. It is missing the kickdown cable, and I'm working on replacing that. However I am having trouble finding any quality diagrams or information about how that hookup works and since I didn't have the original, I'm not sure what I need to complete this task.

I bought the necessary cable but am missing any parts that connect it to the accelerator rod and the transmission. I think there is some sort of spring system that should be hooking up to the transmission but I'm not sure where. Any help with pics from your own rides or diagrams to things online would be excellent.

*I've got my Chilton's and other manuals but they don't show quite what the whole set-up should be.*
