Default electrical help

Hi all,
I am new to forums but have been using this one as a guest as I work on my Mustang. Thanks for all of the help you all have given me over the last few months. I got my 1966 C code coupe (three speed manual) in September and have since converted to a dual master cylinder, front disc brakes, and redone the front suspension. I have also replaced the factory air with a Classic AC system. I also installed a Painless electrical harness.

Needless to say, I have learned a lot as this is my first car rebuild. I hope I am not being presumptuous but here is a few things I have learned:

If you don't plan things out you will end up doing a lot of things twice.

Nothing is as easy as it would seem. One project leads to five more. For instance, I did not plan on replacing the wiring harness-- that came about because one gauge did not work and in fixing that wires fell apart in my hands.

Get correct and good tools.

Any skin lost in taking out a part or switch will be lost again when you install the new one

Ok, so here is my question. I can not figure out where the Back up light switch mounts on my three speed manual transmission, and
What is the proper windshield wiper washer motor for a single speed wiper set up? Will any switch work?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks Bop11 That is very helpful. With it like this the reverse linkage hits the plunger?

That is correct. With the transmission in reverse rotate the bracket until the plunger is pushed in far enough to turn on the back-up lights plus a llitle for wear. It should not bottom out. Some replacements the switch has thread adjustment where it goes through the bracket.
