booster needed for brake conversion?

What master cylinder are you using? I read someone on here used a 67 manual drum/drum cylinder but when I looked at it at the parts store it was super cheap with a screw down lid and gasket. Didn't have the domed pop off tops.

Honestly can't remember what we used for the master cylinder. I had 3 different new ones sitting around. Grabbed one, tore it down, sent it in for powder coating, cleaned it out, reassembled and installed it. Just know it has has been working fine without a booster for 4 years now.
