I was considering doing something like that a few months ago. Im thinking about cutting a hole in the passenger inner fender and run it through there up to the snorkel. Then close off the snorkels below inlet, so it wont suck up the warm air.

Thats what the one in the picture of mine does, but they have two inlets. They put a screen so no bugs would get threw. That would work great for high speed driving.

I tell you what,. Back in the 30's and 40's, the rednecks out ran the cops in their hopped up cop cars while running illegal booze fron their distillaries. So, don't put down a redneck's ability to hot rod a car. And even though it is a 6 banger, this guy is probably getting cooler air to his carb than any of us are. If it works, it works. Yes we can sit back and disdain it. But the concept is clear. Cold air to the carb. There just has to be a more efficient and eye appealing mechanical way to do it. The same results will most liklely be evident, but just more mechanically and visually appealing.
