Disc Setup (list)

RE: Disc Setup (list)
I think what he is trying to ask is...is it still going to be hard as hell to push the brake pedal down when the brakes are applied? the answer is.. it will ease the pressure a little but you have to remember they are manual brakes and they are always going to be difficult to depress. a power brake conversion is an answer but it is neither cheap nor easy.

Yeah...I'd say it could be possible...although I'd imagne its not easy or cheap...If you have all the components and at least front disc brakes it is possible. I am sure some company has a wiring harness to do so...There is a lot of electronics involved with abs...You wires and relays and sensors..which more than likely none of them are on your car now unless you have power brakes and a computer. But the first things you need to have are front disc brakes and power brakes..You can't have abs with manual brakes...But the hardest thing about it is finding a pcm and bcm...They are the powertrain control module and the body control module and abs runs through both of them...I'll look around on the net and let you know if I find anything...or if I forgot something of importance.

Your going to find that the weak link in the chain of stopping will wind up being tires if you are running anything close to stock rubber. The disks will give you better control and ability to modulate the force. They will be much more predictable than the drums.
