Can't decide on tire size for my 67 coupe.
I currently have 14" Crager super series rims all around on my coupe. The rear rims are showing there age so I want to replace them. The tire company has told me that getting 14" rubber is harder and harder to get, 15" rubber is right behind. They advise me to go with 16".
Here is my issue: I can get 14 and 15" Crager rims but hard to get rubber. You can get 16" rubber but can't get 16" crager super series rims.
I really like the look of the 5 spoke rim. Does anyone have any suggestions or pictures of different options? I want the old 5 stoke look and don't want low profile, I would like to go to a 16" rim max.

He's right, to an extent. 14" tires are definitely getting harder to get your hands on.
That said, BF Goodrich still makes Radial T/A's in 14". I had to special order my last pair, but they're still out there. If your tire shop can't help you out, try Tire Rack, which will often ship directly to tire shops.

I'm looking at 16" or 17" Torque Thrust D's. I prefer 16", but that diameter puts the rim right next to the UCA ball joint. 17" clears the ball joint, allowing you to run wider rims with more clearance. About the widest 16" rim you can fit up front is 8" =/

Well that depends on how you drive. once a week to the store or do you drive it?
if you want to drive it I would look at 17" they will improve contract patch size and allow you into a wider market of Ultra High Performance tires like Pilot Super Sports. I have many suspension upgrades and they improved handling but switching to quality tires made a huge difference. a 1000 dollar set of tires made more difference than then preceding 6,000 dollars worth of steering and suspension components...But they go hand in hand however im willing to bet the largest single improvement you can make is tires/wheels. Pretty much anything in the 14" range is so crap that you'll see a night and day difference in switching to 17" UHP tires alone.
There are plenty of wheel choices in the 17" range
16" range would be the minimum I would suggest you can still get good tires in the 16" range as well. but the Pilot SS doesn't start until the 17"+ I think.
I was worried initially about 17s looking goofy in my 66 but its not the case. the 67 is even better suited for 17s.
