I did the overheating-in-traffic dick dance for years until I finally kissed the ugly baby to buy a nice OEM style 4 core brass radiator.

Problem solved.

Hey, fbf351, is your dance a swing step, or more of a quickstep?

Yes on both instances of putting the motor back together I made sure the gaskets were on correctly. I'm done with the dancing, I will be getting a 4 row radiator and will post my results, anybody looking for a 4 year old 2 row repro radiator and a 50 y/o original Fomoco 2row radiator that obviously didn't have anything wrong with it, cheap.....

Found a 3 row radiator I hope will solve my problem. Going with one that has opposite input and output ports so I need to also purchase a new water pump with the input on the opposite side. It looks like I don't have to worry about having to get a different timing chain cover, as it looks like it will mount right up to the existing one. Does anyone know if I go out and purchase say a 1972 302 water pump, whether I need to be concerned with my current alternator and power steering pump mount applications or will I need different brackets etc etc.
