1965 Dash - How Should I Clean/Restore
HI,
I am currently restoring a 1965 Mustang, I have had it replayed in Gun metal grey metallic and now looking at the interior.
Can anyone recommend how I restore my dash? I have tried t-cut but it has made no difference. Any other techniques to clean it up or does it need respraying?
If it needs respraying, what colours would you recommend? (Black dash top, black carpet, black seats, white headliner)
Thanks.

can the dash come out? All the switch gear and gauges can be replaced with new OEM parts. I'd repaint the dash itself, and polish all the chrome bits, or replace if too pitted.
Everything pictured there someone's making a new version of.

Given your exterior color, I think I'd go with a black interior all the way around.
Maybe a 66 cluster and ditch the aftermarket gauges too or at least upgrade them to some high quality ones.

If you mean the entire dash then yes, but there are no telling how many spot welds are holding it in.
