I like the look of it fine, it matches the interior well but it's a piece of ****. The horn button falls off regularly and the contact plates behind it are poorly made and designed. Its a real pain trying to get it working just right where your horn doesn't sound every time you hit a bump in the road. I've read lots of posts online of people complaining of the same issues. So I'm wondering what my options are?
Replace the whole steering wheel with a quality part. What makes/models would you recommend for this. I like the wood/chrome combo.
Keep the wheel but recplace the guts of it with a horn kit. I don't think I'd want to do this with another Grant kit and just end up with the same problems in a couple years. But is there maybe another manufacturer with a better made kit that will fit the existing wheel?

I had one of those in the fastback for years and it was ok. Kinda generic if you ask me.
When I decided to upgrade I went with the factory style repop woodgrain and was clicking my heels. It'll set you back a little bit more but I think it looks much nicer.

When I used to work in auto parts stores (many years ago) we carried grant steering wheels in stock...They look ok and quality is ok but they were never really .... exciting. It's like MSD or ACCELL meh....

I can't remember the manufacturer but I bought the wheel and the center cap from National Parts Depot. It wasn't cheap but damn, it looked good. All I had handy was this crappy picture of when I was redoing the interior
