Original scissors jack
yeah thats for an repo though, i have seen some guys at swap meets sell very nice originals for, 200 even 300 dollars. mine came with a c7 sticker wrapped around were it starts to sissor, so i know it was never used. there interesting though, i have seen some 65s with natural unainted scissor jacks with the same looking stickers... i dont want to blow any sunshine up ur a@# today glen, but there may be a difference for some factories.....lmao
The funny part is that I bought a very nice hydraulic scissors jack from Wally World that works better than the original, and I think I paid about 20 bux for it. Maybe I'll just keep mine , which is in orginal condition and maybe sell it for a zillion dollars on Ebay a few years down the road.
because like so many things with these old cars, parts and accessories come up missing throughout the years, and you guessed it, many owners didnt feel the need to keep the jack around because after they changed the tire over to the spare, they just got rid of them. point in case, more room in the trunk. I say indeed they are becoming more and more difficult to find everyday, but if you got one hold on to it!!
