Exclamation '67 no R Front turn signal

I am trying to get my 67 coupe in condition to pass the state safety inspection. All is fixed except the right side turn signal. I have power to that harness plug. There are three wires , one (middle)appears to be white or yellow with blue stripe, the others are black (or just old and dirty). If I jump from the hot harness wire to the light assembly and from the outside harness wire to each of the two assembly wires I get a light on each of the filaments.

I think that blue stripe wire is the problem but don't know how to trace it back.
Flashers and fuses are all good

Also are the front parking/turn signal lights supposed to be on with the headlights? Or just the parking light first click?
Also there are two loose connectors with single wires, one on each side near the T signal harness. Any idea what they are?

Thanks in advance!
Steve
