Why the H in a dual exhaust system?
It's long and technical, but basically you have two cylinders firing almost at the same time on mone bank, and none firing on the other bank. That builds pressure in one pipe, while the other is empty. So, in order to get more exhaust gases out of that one pipe, the crossover to the other pipe is necessary. The H pipe is not as good as the X pipe, because the gases have to make a 90 degree turn, whereas the gases flow directly into the adjoining pipe by using the X.
and they help scavanged for each other. By that once the gases are flowing in one direction, they will sort of such if you will, the other gasses the direction that they are going. It is like synergy with exhaust.
Very true on the x pipes about 15 more hp than duals, 7 more hp than an H.
