Exhaust manifold donuts !!

my 66 Galaxie XL seems to not like the Felpro exhaust donuts. Loosens up, I tighten, it loosens, then disintegrates, lovely!! Options??

is the pipe behind the donut well supported or can it wiggle side to side?
