Default Exhaust manifold question

The exhaust manifold looks to be pulled away from the exhaust pipe. A pretty reasonable gap.

Is there a gasket that goes between there or what?

Also, does anyone know where I can get a pair of Hipo exhaust manifolds for a good deal?

There's an exhaust "donut" (commonly used term) in between the two, keeping them separate. A space between the two is normal.

The HP manifolds are a distinct improvement. Don't forget to get the HP H-pipe to match them.
