Ignition switch?
Ok. I'm stumped.
After putting a new battery and battery cables in my 68 Mustang, I took it out for a drive. About 20 miles. I pulled it into the garage and turned it off. I decided I wanted to pull it in a little further, so I tried to start it. Click, then nothing. I checked the new cables first. All good. With my voltmeter I was getting 12.7 to the solenoid, but nothing after it. So I changed the solenoid. Hooked it all back up, and had my wife turn the key and the engine turned over, Success right? After she turned the key off it continued to run the starter, so I pulled the cable off the battery. Checked my wiring, and it all looked good. Hooked up the battery again, now it won't turn over. Not only that, but I can get all interior lights and radio to work turning the key to the left, (Acc position) but nothing works when turned to the right in the "on" position. I am thinking faulty ignition switch.
Is there any thing in the wiring which could cause this? I am pretty sure I wired the new solenoid correctly. It is not very complicated.

Thanks gun Metal. I have checked all of the grounds except the engine block ground strap. I am a weekend hobbyist with no time during the week, so I have ordered a new ignition sw, and will check the engine block ground before putting that in
Thanks
Thanks
