Didn't the kit come with detailed instructions? You will need the GT grille also....not just the lamps and wiring. Run the switch to a position just to the left of the steering wheel under the dash somewhat, then hook it up to a positive and ground source. Should be pretty simple.

well the reason I ask is because the instructions I have are not that simple. they have me splicing into my factory head lamp wires. One is so that when I turn on the fog lamps the tail lights come on. The other it doesnt say what it is for. Also it just tells what wires hook to what. I would like to know where Ford routed these wires, exacly where they went through the firewall and where they placed the circuit breaker.

The kit comes with bars, lights, housing, wiring, grille, and switch.

Hi,
Most of what you are looking for is in the Electrical assembly manual. You can get them from NPD. Let me know how it goes as I plan to put them on my 65 also. I am doing a mod to a GT.

I have the trumpet exhaust, disc brakes and soon the fog lights. Next I will get a rally pack. I am not really going for all the GT features but just buying things that are useful or I find cool. I like to keep things original to a mustang just not always original to my mustang =)

You'd want to splice into the factory headlights, because that's how they were originally.

depending though glen, if its a 65-66 or a 67. 67 can use standard grills for fog lights

HI Riven,
Sounds like you are doing just what I want to do. I also did a intake upgrade to the 4V. I found an original intake and carb on ebay. 100 bucks for each. I rebuilt the carb using parts from Pony carbs and painted the intake. I also put on the chrome goodies like the K code would have. Suits me but it is not stock anymore. I am getting a repo rally pac if Santa in nice to me. Pricey little buggers. I had one in my hand at Colo. Mustangs where I was getting some stuff and could not buy it as my kids are in College and needing more money than I have! Who did you go through for parts on the front disc brakes? Can you give me some tips, suggestions?
Thanks, Walt

Probably so Charles, but you will have to have the headlight switch on to make the lights work. I think was we are talking about here are driving lights, and not fog lights. On modern cars, a fog light is a bright red light that is attached at the rear bumper area, and it has a separate switch for that. In the old days, fogs lights were yellow, so would cut through the dense fog and allow you to see better. However, with these lights, they are clear, and just an additional front light. Therefore, the term driving lights. Still, they should have a separate switch to operate them as compared to the headlight switch, unless you can somehow get a headlight switch with separate turns in order to activate the driving lights separate from the headlights. Maybe that is the quandry he is facing. Do GT's that came from the factory have a different headlight switch from non-GT's? I don't know.
