Default Eliminating 67 Windshield washer bellows??

I am new to the group and of course immediately have a question. I am in the process of cleaning up the firewall of a newly acquired 67 Mustang and am considering eliminating the bellows operated windshield washer mechanism. It's in pretty bad shape and I frankly see no need for a windshield washer on a car that likely will never be driven is a situation where it would be needed. I understand the electrical connection I see attached is (was) for a single wiper swipe?? Again, probably won't need that feature. As far as the question, can I simply follow the wires to the origin and cut them short and tape off or will I be causing some other unintended problem. I'm new at the electrical/wiring aspect so any help and advice on the situation would be appreciated.
