to add, just because a few panels are "rusty" does not mean you have to cut the whole quarter out... in some cases, cut out the infected area, and get a new piece thats the same size you cut out, and sort of patch it to the old. IMO if your going for original, it mainly doesnt have to be numbers matching, or concourse correct, however, what you decide the car would look good as, and keeping in mind keeping the "originall" look like it was produced 40 years ago. Hell ive seen some people keep there cars 100% stock on the outside, right down to polyglas tires, but go nuts with the engine and interior.

Do a search on Carrol Shelby, he's had a hand in alot of vehicles. 289/427 Cobra's, Daytona Coupe's, GT350/GT500, Omni's, Chargers, all sorts of stuff. Cool guy from Texas.

Ebay motors of course. You can narrow it down by price, year, area.

Cartrader online. You can narrow it down by price, year, area.

Cars.com in the 1982 and older section. You can narrow it down by price, year, area.

What do you think about Mustang Pluss's Super restoration Kit for a start. OR is there a better kit than that one. Also is there like a body Kit for these fastbacks. just trying to get a feel for the starter price after purchasing a car thanks

Also where and what is the Best Crate engine to put in a say 68 fastback. Willing to have to do work and customization to the body to fit any motor. Looking for something like a 428, But are there certain engines that are prone to break more easily. I wont go crazy with it but would like to know that if i stomp on it just for fun that the engine will hold up. Thanks
