Default clutch pedal assembly

hi guys,
is it feasable for me to fabricate some type of system to use the pedal assembly out of a newer mustang in my 67' when converting to manual transmission?
i figure as long as a i get the brake pedal in the correct spot to line up with the pushrod of the master cylinder it would work with a non-hydraulic clutch set up... if i can figure out how to do it i will probably switch the gas pedal as well. mine seems to rest up against the trans tunnel a bit too much.
thanks for your help,
carl
