I'm swapping out my boss 302 for a rebuilt 351W. Is there going to be a problem dropping it into my 72 fast back? I think the mounts should be the same. Also, the engine I bought is a long block, so I need to put a new intake and carb. What do you guys suggesst for to Max out HP? Does anyone want a Boss 302?

 

i'll take it. put that sucker on one of those buses they have constantly coming to new orleans and i'll pick it up but seriously, would shipping be obnoxious for that? i need an engine for my project car. oh and the mounts are different for big blocks the the 60's models i'm positive, not so sure about 70's.

 

Don't know how much shipping would be, but I won't be able to make the swap until mid Jan.

EDIT: to answer you question. the mounts should be the same. as for carb and intake i recomend Holly. a 650 cfm should be fine for a 351

I'm not on drugs!!! Not anymore...my wife won't let me cluter up the garage while I rebuild the boss, so I got another block to put in the car. The mounts for a 289, 302, 302 Boss, 351 Cleveland and 351 Windsor are all the same.
