Ok, I just want to get everyones opiniom on handling upgrades for these dinosours. WHat is a good cheap upgrade i can do? And if i decided on getting a new flaming river steering box, What is the length of the shaft for a 66 289 auto? with manual steering.

larger sway bars, quality shocks, and wider tires are simple things that make a big difference...

i don't know much about the steering box...

I was thinking about sway bars, and the shelby drop. And maybe new performance springs on the front.

With a rear sway bar - car won't drive the same.
That is exactly the point...stock handling sucks. You can 'tune' the sway bars with adjustable end links to get what you want. What you don't want is mushy rubbery ride. Poly every where you can and use good gas shocks.

im getting a suspension upgrade kit, that comes with front and rear sway bars(with poly bushings) and KYB shocks. and im getting subframe connectors, and a new export brace, and doing the shelby drop. Do you think it'll be better?
