1967 center console
Hey, folks. I have a 67 mustang with center console (automatic). I've replaced the shift components (i.e. light, plastic white linkage, brushed aluminum insert, shift slide), but don't know how this thing gets bolted down to the center column. I've checked everywhere, gone to local swap meet shows, but nobody knows. Right now, the console simply sits in place, but when I shift gears, the light doesn't correspond to the correct gear because the console isn't bolted down.
Anybody, please help!!
Anybody, please help!!
I have a 67 with center console. I took it out 4 years ago when I began my restoration. Still havn't put it in.
From memory ( which is not so good ) I recall only screws holding it in plus some fasteners under the dash.
Sorry I can't be of better help

theres two screws under the dash that hold it on (where the stock radio bezal goes) than there are two clips that snap on the front part towards the dash, that gets bolted on, than four screw in the tunnel on the floor. Make sure u find the original holes for the floor, down drill new one.
that i remember: the two screws that go under the dash, and there are the two clips on the end of the console that have a 1/2 inch bolt that bolts under the dash. Inside the console u should have the shift plate with two brakets that were welded to it, there are holes on the top of each, and the one closest to the front has a hole about 1/8 inch big, which is mated with a white plastic rod that will eventually connect to selector. But no there is no other bolt downs other than the one described
