hey everyone im having a few issues on my dads carb, its a 2bbl on 68, during cold starts it runs fine till it reaches normal temp, now one of them is during acceleration, it tends to hesitate alot when i need to accelerate. Also i have a problem during normal driving when i am at a stop it tends to want to turn off like there isnt any fuel going to the carb, it would then turn off and i would have to turn it on again with no problems. And another thing is that when its really hot or at normal temp, when i leave the car to go to the store fow a while and then come back to leave, when i start it, it will crank but would turnover till i would press the gas peddle... then a puff of smoke would come out to the rear exhaust and its would smell like feul some times. Im thinking its the fuel pump or filter, or the carbs floa/jetst is running wierd or its to lean. any takers? or should i just swap it out for a newer 4bbl holley? thanks

oh yeah i rebuilt this carb twice. i guess i just should buy a holley huh? lol

well ive been thinking of buying a new carb such as a holley street avenger, as for the tune what should include, change fluids, spark plugs, change rotor and distrib. cap plugs.? anything missing? imma do it myself just want to make sure i dont leave anything out. also i was thinking of using sea foam to clean up the vavles etc...
