Default Cowl Replacement

Hey everyone,

I'm a new poster to the forum but have read your posts for quite some time and am excited to talk shop now that I once again have a project to work on.

I just bought a 1966 Coupe with that has practically no rust anywhere other than the floor pans (which are shot) and the cowl panels which need to be replaced. Typical Mustang headache, the same as my last one.

Anybody know of a good place to buy these and how much to they run for a set (both right and left side)? I saw them somewhere for around $65 each, but I thought I'd ask before I buy. Anybody have a favorite sheet metal provider?

Thanks,

James

Default RE: Cowl Replacement

im in the middle of the same process right now. im hoping i can save the cowl lid and fab most of everything else myself since it really wont be seen by anyone once the car is back together. im also replacing front torque boxes, floor pans/supports, and some portions of the front clip. i got all my sheet metal from cjponyparts.com. im not sure if they are any better than the other companies. you might want to read the posts concerning some of the companies in this section.
